How to convert a PDF to PNG
- Drop your PDF into the box above.
- Choose PNG (lossless) or WebP (smaller files) and a resolution: 2× gives roughly 1650×2330 pixels per A4 page.
- Optionally limit which pages to convert (for example
1,4,7). - Click Convert to image, then download pages individually or all at once as a ZIP.
Good to know
- Text in the images is not selectable — it is a picture of the page, exactly like a photo of a document.
- White page backgrounds are preserved (rendered on white, not transparent).
- Prefer smaller files for email? WebP at 2× is usually 25–35% smaller than PNG at the same resolution.
- Need the text instead? Use the Extract Text tool, which keeps words as words.
Frequently asked questions
PNG or JPG — which should I use?
PNG is lossless, so text and line art stay perfectly sharp; files are larger. JPG compresses more and can blur fine text. If you are unsure, pick PNG. The PDF to JPG tool is one click away if you want smaller files.
My PDF has 300 pages — will this work?
Yes, but be patient: rendering happens on your device, so hundreds of pages take a while and use memory. Convert in batches with the page selector if needed.
Are the images watermarked?
Never. The output is a plain image of your page with nothing added.
